Our toddler got some quality time with cousins and second cousins and, whatever, some more complex familial relations last weekend with our annual Christmas celebration. Along with pretending to make pizza and discovering LeapFrog’s Fridge Phonics, there was a karaoke machine with Frozen soundtrack available. A simple affair with the lyrics on a blank screen, it nonetheless caught the attention of the kids and was either adorable or abominable depending on the parent. Regular readers can guess where we fall on that.
But it reminded me that ratings data published by the Pan European Game Information group earlier this month revealed, almost incidentally, that there was an upcoming Frozen edition of Sony’s popular SingStar series. The game will apparently be available for both Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, but no date has been set.
“We are very excited to be bringing the phenomenally popular songs from Disney’s Frozen to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 with the launch of SingStar Frozen.”
SingStar is a bit like household favorite Rockband without the instruments. Only vocals. Two microphones are easier to pick up and play at a party and store when not in use. Players are rewarded for accurate pitch.
